LEARNING
In the spring of 2009 I set out to teach a course that would (1) practice basics of photography, (2) lead towards a large installation, and (3) curate an exhibition based on the teacher-student relationship. The end result is a tower of images inside of an exhibition called "Teaching at 22", showcasing pairs of teachers art alongside work from/by their students.
The photo installation was created by students alongside teachers (myself and Carl Sweets), while the exhibition itself was hung and curated by the entire group. The idea of contextual architecture inspired the shape of the piece, as the tower mimics the surrounding wood columns.
